Last updates of Covid-19 situation in Ghana

According to the last updates of Covid-19 situation in Ghana, all international arriving passengers will be required to meet requirements prior to admission into Ghana. Passengers must not have symptoms including body temperature of 38*C. Also, passengers must possess a Covid-19 negative PCR test from an accredited laboratory in the country of origin. The test should be done more than 72 hours before the departure time from the country of origin. It is important to note that airlines who board passengers without PCR test will be fined as of US $3,500 per passenger.

Ghanaian residents who depart and return Ghana within 1 week will not be required to present a Covid-19 result from the country of origin. However, they will undergo mandatory Covid-19 testing upon arrival in Ghana. Another important note is that passengers will be tested at the airport terminal for a cost as indicated by Ghanaians and Ecowas Citizens - $ 50 and all other passengers - $ 150. The payment will be made online from the Official site of Ghana and the proof of payment will be shown to Airline before boarding. Note that airlines who board passengers without proof of payment will be fined as of $ 3,500 per passenger.

All arriving passengers, who test positive for Covid-19, will undergo mandatory isolation and treatment for a cost to passenger, EXCEPT Ghanaian citizens. The isolation will be for a period of 7 days. The passengers who test negative will be required to continuously adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols and will receive regulation information regarding Covid-19 within 5 days of the arrival.
